Navitat Canopy Adventures

While working in the campus recreation industry for over 14 years, I’ve always been a hustler, and worked evening and weekend jobs. I took a weekend job as an off-road van driver for Navitat in Asheville, NC, that I was offered to due my propensity for developing and following safety standards. Safety nerd? You bet. That position then turned into becoming an Aerial Adventure Guide. I then decided to leave the world of campus recreation, because I saw an exciting opportunity within outdoor adventures. 

Now, as Director of Operations and still with Navitat, I’ve always been and continue to be a people developer. I like to push people outside of their comfort zones, challenge them to see different perspectives, and encourage them to be lifelong learners. I love working with the guides and the staff, and enjoy helping them develop their budding careers, whether it be within outdoor adventures or beyond.

I have my Challenge Course Manager (CCM) certification, and am thrilled to get the chance to work with some more incredible folks and be a part of the NCAAA BOD.

When I’m not flying through the sky for work, you can find me either playing ice hockey, or watching a horror movie. Let me know any good recommendations!
