Sam joined the NCAAA board in 2024, however, she has been growing in the Challenge Course industry for over a decade. She was first introduced to the industry while earning a Bachelor's degree in Sport and Recreation Management at the University of South Alabama. She has a grass roots background, starting out as an outdoor guide, camp counselor, and facilitator at a variety of operations in the Southeast. She also has experience working as a general carpenter and a tree climber. Through years of dedication and hard work, she became a manager at various operations, including French Broad Adventures in Marshall, NC. Sam now works for Challenge Towers, an accredited vendor in North Carolina. As a professional service provider for CT, she provides professional training, course inspections and maintenance, installation, and program development. On days off, you can find her hanging out with her adorable dog Kojack, gardening, canyoneering, climbing, backpacking, or boating with friends and family.
